Specializing in ephemeral architecture, modular construction and real estate, AYUF Holding has been designated as the prime contractor to build the modular structures of CAN 2024. His CEO Mariame Diaby tells us more about the group's activities in Ivory Coast, Mali and Liberia, and soon in Senegal.
Forbes Africa : What makes modular construction particularly suitable for organising major events?
Mariame DIABY : This type of construction stands out for its exceptional flexibility, offering a tailor-made solution for every major event in Africa. Our ability to quickly design and deploy structures meets the changing needs of these dynamic events and ensures effective and successful implementation.
For event organizers, what are the main advantages of modular solutions?
Mr. D. : They're multiple. Rapid deployment guarantees substantial time savings, which is crucial for events with tight deadlines. In addition, the reproducibility of the modules allows economic use of resources, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness.
How can these buildings contribute to environmental sustainability during major events on the continent?
Mr. D. : Our commitment to environmental sustainability guides our approach to modular construction. The use of sustainable and recyclable materials reduces our ecological impact. Modularity allows the reuse of structures, contributing to the preservation of the environment. Apart from my activities related to modular construction, I am very committed to the environment and continue to motivate rural women to do so.
What major African events have you deployed modular solutions to?
Mr. D. : I can quote the drawing by lot of the CAN 2024, installation of modular structures for CAN 2024 at airports and stadiums, organization of the COP 15 in Abidjan, the 8th Games of La Francophonie, the ShieldAfrica (International Security and Defence Fair in Africa), for ten years. Our company also intervened on the events of the President of the Republic and the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire, but also at the inauguration of the Liberian President George WeahAnd when his wife was founded... These projects were all successful, illustrating the capacity of the modular construction to meet the complex requirements of large-scale events.
For CAN 2024, what are the stakes?
Mr. D. : AYUF Holding is the contractor of the modular construction for the next CAN. The challenges lie in the design of structures that meet international standards, while providing an optimal environment. We are determined to make this CAN a resounding success, adding a new prestigious achievement to our portfolio. Our capitals and modular buildings are already present on the outskirts of the stadiums of the cities of Abidjan, Bouaké and Korhogo, as well as at their respective airports for the reception of participants.
